i agree if its content is not known before it is voted on it should be downvoted, regardless of the content (since we dont know the content)
but a fast track vote doesn't matter. it can still be downvoted on the real vote

I think John the point isn't so much to witness an awful reading of the bill as you describe--yes, I have seen that and it is dreadful--but to allow, say, journalists to read the bill and report on its contents--summarize it for the citizenry.
Like somebody should have done with the Patriot Act. Hey, there's another awesome example of a bill nobody read when they passed it...

There was a fire the other day at a foot were factory in the Philippines, many died. They made high end stuff for whoever. Their pay is / was about $3 a day. Some things never change, and probably never will.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
