Well you're right about the whole Trump/populist thing.
But here's where it gets f***ed: they're all for a "populist" (no matter how fake), if he's in The Party.
I saw some survey recently where all these GOPers were asked--these are the rank-and-file, BBQ-attired crowd at various rallies--about various Sanders ideas without them being identified as his. Guess what? They were pretty much in support of all of them.
Until you told them, then literally it was oh no, no no....
When people started electing people with no business governing because they elect people only to stick it to "the left," well, here we are.
