Here's Why Capital Punishment Needs to Go

Actually it's not a prosecutors job to win by any means necessary. But the DA - again an elected official - usually wants to hire people who will. In our f**k up society its campaign fodder to talk about getting bad guys on death row. Making it an unelected office that contains both functions of prosecutors and defenders would inherent change the culture of the work environment.

if reasonable doubt is good enough to lock someone up for their entire life, it's good enough to end their life. there should be no other differing standards for determining "level of guiltiness"
