Smoothing out regulatory regimes across trading partners is a good thing IMO. I'll wait to see the actual composition and process for appointment of these technocrats (by the way...technocrats instead of elected leaders running things makes me ) before I start climbing the street light for my quick drop and sudden stop.

lol why is more corporate interference in governance a good thing? and you call other people fascist? this actually IS fascism. not to mention the fact that companies can sue countries over potential lost profits if they pass a bill the company doesn't like.

if a treaty to which a country is bound says regulations will be X, and the country violates this treaty and imposes harsher regulations which cost a company profits, why shouldn't that company be able to sue for the losses sustained as a result of this VIOLATION OF HTE LAW.

So just to be clear: there are no finalized specifics yet and everyone here is upset about a stolen set of negotiation points that will not go into force without substantial changes and a democratically elected legislature and president signing off on it.
