They really have no clue. But if it's any indication, these voters are likely to punish the GOP in 2018 and 2020. For the record..clinton's free community college would've done more for them. McConnell flat out resisted any government assistance whatsoever.

Continuing to hurl charges of racism/sexism/xenophobia/Islamophobia/homophobia (and whatever else) regardless of what someone who disagrees with you ACTUALLY says, is a major reason that many have stopped taking you and your belief system seriously.

It's also a major factor in why you lost this election, and the actual racists/sexists now feel emboldened to come out of the woodwork.

Stuff like this is also why the country will stay sharply divided, and we will continue to be disconnected for at least the immediate future.

The next problem is people are so insistent on imposing their political wills on other people to the extent that they either cheer the state caging a man for being off grid, to sycophantly defending killer cops because they're cops.

Bottom line is the state needs to stop being a religion and we need to find our humanity again.
