As in, zero tax dollars are used to fund it. It's non-political. They can only use the funds that they collect. From things like overdrafts, ATM fees, and service fees.

It just occurred to me you might not even realise that taking deposits is a money making operation in and of itself. I know Galt explained fractional reserve banking already, but you are thick so this probably need to be said again.
