I'm not sure I buy that nordictruce. I think people rape for all sorts of reasons ranging from strong desire and no self control to entitlement and no respect for woman's wishes to just being insane. But since we're totally not ok with any excuse for rape, we don't live in a rape culture.
Actually the one way we might be a rape culture is that we think prison rape is funny for some reason. Other than that not really seeing it.
