The Democrats and Obama were too meek and feckless and the GOP was so partisan that it borderline appeared to be collusion. GOP Governors openly doubting the veracity of the intelligence that was presented - instead seeing it as a power grab. And McConnell? Threatening to portray it as partisanship if it was released publicly. They literally chose party over country...
