Let me point out yet again that the penalties across the board have been... fines.
Paid for by the corporation.
No jail time, no criminal prosecution, not one arrest.
Can somebody direct me to where we can, as private citizens, "settle" a criminal case by paying a fine?
Example: like if I rob a bank. Hey Judge: here's one tenth of my take home pay for the year, Imma gonna just head home now, kay?
Yet when the banks rob us...
I would also like to ask you what would happen to you personally if you were caught laundering money for drug cartels, terrorist groups or Iran. Think of what happens to you if you get caught with drugs, period. Now think about being caught laundering billions for dealers.
Think you'll be just paying a fine on that one?
So I'm confused then, because corporations are people right? I'm a person and I'd probably be put away for life on those counts. But these [s]corporations[/i] people simply buy their way out.
