Obeezy and co. need to take advantage of this honestly, Rooskies won't like it but it will simply aid in our ability to continue operation "have a base in every country around Russia/China." policy we've been running for a while.

i think any direct interference will just push the country further into russia's hands.

yes, they don't like russia. but if we start meddling with the country, that might push people into the pro-russia camp, or the sit home and do nothing camp. both are bad.

and the goal is to not split the country in half. despite the fact that half of the country by size speaks russian, half of it is not ethnically russian. it would be ridiculous to push a policy that would knowingly divide the country.

well i believe we already have that. as far as i know, ukraine wants to join NATO (or did) and there is a large part of the country that wants to join the EU.

what do you propose we do to cozy up to them like a warm kitty?

yes those are true.

the EU isn't about ready to extend the eurozone with the shit that they've been in lately. that would be the only way to grab em quick, but it's not an option.

Its too bad. Ukraine is a tremendous breadbasket country. Hugely useful, economically, to have them in the Eurozone.
