So Cohen came out and said Trump knew about the now infamous Trump Tower meeting. Rick Gates, Manafort's right hand man, is reportedly cooperating with Mueller. Rick Gates should know this as well (I believe he was there with Manafort) so...he should be able to corroborate what Cohen has now released. I'm betting Mueller already knows that Trump knew so Giuliani is trying to muddle the waters with strange appearances on talk shows that make little sense. Things like "Collusion isn't illegal."
I wish this would end soon.

It's progress, at least. I mean, we started with the story being that this was all something entirely fake. Something that CNN just made up from whole cloth. Then it was something the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc just made up. Then they started qualifying. Then they started arguing about the definitions of terms in trump speak versus actual meanings. Then they started leaning on "well, it's not technically illegal" and "we don't really know..." Then everything became a witch hunt...which is a specious idea when actual 'witches' are continuously found.
Now it's breaking down to the point where the collusion itself is argued to be okay because it's not technically illegal.
It's like a time lapse of a dead animal decaying on the forest floor.

You're right his failings were political (his tepid nature ended with the loss of control of government for his party, and he wasted almost all his political capital on Obamacare) but he did smoke the electric lettuce, and that's illegal
