no, but the money is because of widespread discontentment with the president. it had nothing to do with the local politics in the race. people donated because trump, and it made enough of a difference, together with the people in the district that felt the same way. the district is slightly republican by the way, as obama had won it. ~25,000 people voted and there are 172,088 residents in senate district 10. -22.8% children = ~20% voter turnout? i wouldn't read too much into it, especially considering how the media wants to read such tea leaves like they were given a true premonition that cannot possibly be false
