I remember joking with my товарищи about how they have so many military parades for military holidays (defenders of motherland day, victory day, special forces day, etc) and the idea is so foreign to me and weird and just not something Americans do, but "now that Trump is president I might see one xaxaxa ))"

Nov 11 2018 would not be a bad time; 100th anniversary of the end of The Great War for which American troops being brought to bear upon the Prussians were why the writing was on the wall and they peaced out even though they were still in French territory (the French literally did nothing for the last two years because they were just waiting for Americans to take over and then let the Americans take over, a tradition they continue to this day)

the problem is that isn't a parade about the armed forces. it's about paying homage to the Trump. that's what the whole f**k thing will be about. he isn't suggesting it because he wants a tribute to the armed forces. he's demanding it because he wants a giant f**k show to be put on in his honor. it's hilarious how other countries know this about him and they put on giant shows and then all he does is talk nice about them, e.g., macron, xi

Yeah I mean...the last military parade was under Bush the Elder and that was because of winning Desert Storm. I feel like a parade now is in poor taste because it's either to honor Agent Orange or to celebrate....? Iraq? Afghanistan? Syria?

Those all continue to this day. It's f**k amazing that we're still in Afghanistan. I guess you could do it on veterans day/memorial day but...I think there's a whole lot more the millions spent on this parade could do to help the military.

And then there's the debt/deficit spending...just man.
