As I understand your description of this, nobody is running anyone off the road, and the worst outcome is that being denied your illegal merge, you wind up missing your exit and have to backtrack and try again.

I'm elite, too, lol. Maybe others should get out of my way at lights so I can run them? Or maybe I should be allowed to pass on the right? My elite driving skills already mean I don't have to wait my turn at 4 way stops, or yield the right of way, or crosswalks to pedestrians..so we might as well take this to the next level so I can reach my ultimate commuter destiny. Obviously anyone that doesn't enable me is the real problem.
