Literally mass shootings account for about 2% of overall firearm deaths. Nearly 60% of deaths from firearms are by suicide. There are 300 million guns in this country and millions of law abiding citizens who aren't committing these crimes.
Most of you get drunk daily, weekly or monthly, and nearly 88,000 people die every year from alcohol or alcohol related offenses. Nearly 12k of homicides the individual was involved with alcohol too.
Maybe the FBI and police could of caught this kid or stopped him from owning a gun after the numerous times they were contacted, including one from 4 days before the shooting where the person said he is going to shoot up a school?
Did any of you try to ban alcohol recently? Probably not.

Maybe so, but they're the ones who would actually get what you proprose through, assuming trump is scraped off. By the time they're back in some sort of strong enough majority, there will be some other fresh hell to deal with.
Or, they could simply dance to trump's tune that they are out to "Git yer guuns!" as a massive distraction during both the midterms and trump's reelection effort, thus weakening themselves, cementing in trump, and getting your desired reforms even farther away from possibility.
It seems to me that Cnidarian fortunes and your desired outcomes have become at least a little intertwined.

what's kinda f**k is that several of those things i mentioned are supported by overwhelming majorities of americans, but it gets no movement because it's a culture war and tribal conflict instead of policy discussions
