The point is that the range of acceptable speech that does not result in economic destruction is narrowing rapidly and it is largely the left narrowing it.

This stifles free discussion and prevents the open debate of ideas that results in the cream rising to the top and the rest sinking to the bottom.

When you can simply label something Bad Thoughts not on its merits but because of association or for no reason at all, that vibrant public debate so cherished in western history (though not always upheld) is at significant risk.

The answer to speech is more speech not stifling that speech through tactics instead of logic and reason.

Take the summer of discontent thread. The reasoned positions and articles I have advanced have been addressed by nobody. Instead there was pages of discussion of Quillette and some personal attacks on me.

That is simply unacceptable and a damn shame. Intellectual honesty matters.
