I'm talking about Western oligarchs, not just American ones. Surely even you can understand how introducing austerity measures in Ukraine and demanding they gut their social systems is directly related to the conditions we Westerners face in our own countries? While you idiots rail against the super rich screwing your countries, you also want to empower the very institutions which have created, encouraged and made possible that exact screwing, on a global level.

Its as if the people who support the national security state are not the same people who support aggressive Western hegemony are not the same people who want to hand over as much wealth and resources to the rich as they can. Like what is going on in your head? How can you possibly support the type of foreign policy that has enabled all the stuff you actually hate about the way the West operates, domestically and internationally?

It just blows my mind that you can hold so many totally conflicted opinions simultaneously, and believe they are all true.

It isn't about wealth in terms of dollar bills and bushels of wheat. It is about control, uniformity of regulations, spheres of influence and making every country bitchmade to global capital. You know this, that is the exact point behind trade agreements, so I don't know why you're playing dumb here. Pretending that the IMF and NAFTA and the EU and the World Bank and the G8 aren't pursuing the total dominance of capital and those who control it... It just requires an incredible amount of ignorance.

We won't be dealing with two power blocks. We will be dealing with at least three and maybe four (EU/US, China, Russia, and maybe some weird South American block).

One thing I do know for certain is that going to war over Ukraine won't improve stability, and that after a half-century of mucking around in the ME, it hasn't gotten any more stable. Time for a change. Maybe pursue important, meaningful goals instead of keeping the Western elites obscenely rich at the expense of others.
