Having a single entity for health care presents a single point of failure, and some script kiddie apparently took down the NHS accidentally with a ransom-worm. Sure they could update their shit but if they had a sane healthcare system it would have individual hospitals doing their own thing and if one went down they wouldn't all go down

Just because computers may be hacked is still no reason to have stupid draconian policy in the first place. Either way, the middleman and their lust for profit at the expense of your health is total bullshit and needs removed. They can sell insurance for the zombie apocalypse or what ever. But until the American people get over their apathy about their politicians being bribed/lobbied, nothing is going to change.
