So when do we draw the line? It used to be the corps were exposed to the potential dangers of cyclical economic ebb and flow. Now that's been reversed such that they have become the beneficiaries of cyclical wealth extraction from the taxpayer. They can just YOLO their businesses because the Fed is literally saying that they have infinite support on the downside. if you run your business responsibly, all you do is miss out on trillions of dollars of free government money.

It's beginning to sound suspiciously like, "what's good for GM is good for America" up in here. Except GM is being paid by the government to make Pontiac azteks endlessly.

Gotta start breaking the trusts yo. We need another trust buster. Biden ain't it.

Guess we could do it now and extend unemployment benefits with the federal supplement but I don't know how sustainable that is in the face of US based MNCs being allowed to fail. Though at this point revenue to the government from these sources probably isn't that large after tax avoidance.

Hard to say what effect it would have but I lean towards the "not great" aisle.
