I was being metaphorical. What if X river in the US ran red in color because of pollution, etc....
and Oz comment didn't make any sense if you were trying to say the Mississippi is polluted.

I get that...And I'm saying our river might as well be running red. It's polluted as well and yet no implosion here...

Our ecological damage isn't as bad as Chinas, nor are we churning out new polluting factories daily.
