Good to see people willing to make sacrifices for the good of the nation.

Oh God not the Ponzi scheme meme again. You people are like a broken record.
And tell us again, PoS, so we get rid of SS and replace it with... what again?
So if we only get rid of democracy and replace it with... what again?

The ratio of old people to people in work is starting on a trend that's going to send it badly out of whack for a decade at least.
No one in the west is going to be able to keep their pension systems as is, Britain, Italy, France.. the USA.

Ronald Reagan and Tip O'neill successfully kicked the social security can down the road (by 30+ years IIRC) by raising the retirement age from 65 to 67 and raising payroll taxes.
Bottom line SS is something the vast majority of people don't want to or can't afford to give up, combined with generations who have already paid decades into the system and yet to have drawn benefits. No one is going to give it up easily. Most palatable political option is going to be to kick the can down the road again and I fully expect it to happen.

Americans are mentally lazy bums who are willing to suck up anything to preserve appeals to seniority.
The children in this country should be blaming the decay of the family unit, but because they're intimidated and because the family unit has been abused, they insist on critiquing capitalism instead since it's the path of least resistance.
