On the national stage especially women, but also younger people and minorities are leaving the GOP at an alarming rate.. The GOP's war on abortion and the poor and middle classes, the pulling every trick to try and keep minorities from voting, the tap dancing when it comes to immigration reform.These kinds of things only paints the GOP in a bad light in the eyes of the above demographics..

On the national level if the GOP wants to commit suicide, I say let them..

But that still doesn't answer my question, which is: who thinks that this strategy is working? What don't they get about 2012?

Not to change the subject but geez in Texas with the abortion stuff? They're STILL clinging to that? It's like they're trying to reverse time.

My concern is that fine, the GOP implodes and that leaves us with... one party. Which is only going to make the Dems more corrupt than they already are. Shenanigans begin when people in power believe they face no consequences. If all the Dems have to do every year now is run on the fact that they're not the cray cray party, then they don't have to govern. Like now, where they accomplish little if anything except not being... the GOP.

I realize many of you were probably way ahead of me on the duh! insight that the race thing is completely fueling the GOP these days. I remember a few years back if you dared post that you were immediately piled on. Now nobody really says anything because it's undeniable.

Who the hell in 2013 in America decides the winning strategy is to demonize non-white people to... white people?

You do fit the GOP demographic..

But whatever, the GOP does have to move to the center a little, or they will have a tough time on the national level. But honestly I don't see that happening yet, the talking heads and the TP are running the show right now.. When the moderates have had enough, things will change.. Hopefully that will be soon.

As long as the dems keep the handouts coming, it sures up their vote. I can't say it's a bad strategy, after all, it works.

Just curious, Indy, are you aware that ABC last night did a piece on the black panthers as well?
