Yea, I'm not sure whats up with Larry Summers. Don't know him personally but I've heard he rubs a lot of people the wrong way. Lost a good chunk of Harvard's endowment messing around with it in the markets, and left the white house on bad terms. I almost certainly think it's going to be Yellen and this is just the news media trying to jump into the next cycle early now that the Trayvon trail is over.

If he goes ahead and picks Summers, that would essentially be proof that Obama cares a lot more about his donors than he does about the voters.

Granted that's already been made pretty clear in many different cases, but this would be the final confirmation.

Hiring Summers as the fed chairman after the economic collapse would be the equivalent of hiring Dick Cheney as the secretary of state after the Iraq war. He's the one person who has been proven the most incompenent.

I don't think he'll get the job now either, but we'll see...

Don't underestimate the Rubin, Summers and their buddies..

I'm not underestimating them, I'm just saying Summers is a known asshole and there isn't a chance in hell a guy with his record and personality gets confirmed by this senate.
