When I clicked on the thread I was fully prepared to devils advocate for Russia, but goddamn some of that video was messed up. Homophobia seems quite widespread these days. Not just from certain aspects of society either, it seems to be a deliberate strategy for many government across the globe. Instead of finding unity by establishing a foreign enemy, they are trying to do it by creating an internal enemy. It's really disgusting, but unfortunately it seems to be working.

It's just another tool in the toolbelt of political asshattery... homophobes are by and large dim witted people... and dim witted people are the most fervently loyal to the political process...

If you've got a juicy scare tactic like butt sex hanging out there... and your an unscrupulous politician... you're stupid if you DON'T use it.

Wow the west is really trying to smear Russia hard, I don't remember that much debate over how China ruthlessly crushes all opposition. I'm not buying into this US/EU propaganda which is more about trying to gain influence in former soviet bloc countries than it is trying to actually promote human rights.
