So should the royal family (who regularly whore themselves out to the press with their well oiled PR machine) be outraged when one of their flock get their breasts out in a public place and the paps take photos? Or is this a gross invasion of their privileged privacy?

France has very restrictive privacy laws so I think in this case they may have a right to privacy on this.

To be honest though I think she was very naive to think she could whip her top off out in the open (even on private property) and it not be fairly likely someone would take a photo.

I love the fact that the royal family describe the publication as 'greed' with absolutely no sense of irony.

How does anyone have a right to publish naked pictures of someone taken with a telescopic lens?

If that person did not work for a 'magazine' it would be voyeurism and illegal. It's the kind of thing that should land you on the sex offenders register (or whatever Frances version is).

The notion that this has anything to do with freedom of the press is farcical.
