Isn't communism great?

Nice try. We all know the real reason you're posting this right now. Some Red Scare fearmongering about Commies before the New Hampshire primary. You Clintonistas should give it a rest. I'm not much of a Clinton fan, but even I think you guys are better than this.

It doesn't seem particularly unusual to me to have a third world country with a vast wealth of natural resources that it's failed to utilize for the betterment of their society. Seems more a lesson about an authoritarian ruler mismanaging his country's supply of natural resources than about the consequences of Communism. And the fact that Chavez was the one who f**k oil production up doesn't really speak to Communism either. Any autocratic leader will control anything he feels like in his country, regardless of what economic system he espouses.

Many countries in the world existed before America. Many countries, are or becoming shitholes. The question becomes, why should America become world class, instead of the world becoming American class?
