I won't claim to be a fan of his, but the man just died, so I will not criticize him here.

What I do want to discuss is what happens next. Obviously this is an election year, so Republicans will try to block any candidate, in the hopes that they can win back the white house, and pick their own guy. But can the Supreme Court go a year with only 8 members ?

I think it will be very interesting to see how this plays out, and it could end up being a major shift in the direction of the country.

This is really gonna put SCOTUS front and center of the general election.
