Well, something very big is happening in Turkey.

Bosporus Bridge and Sultan Mehmet Bridge are closed.

Military jets are doing flybys over Ankara.

Reports of gunfire in the streets.

Reports of chopper opening fire over Istanbul.

Reports that Twitter and Facebook are being shut down in Turkey.

Reports of a curfew imposed.

Further reports that the Turkish PM has confirmed a coup attempt.

Good stuff. Turkey is an asshole, they deserve to be booted from NATO and sodomized by the Russians for a millenia.

The military is historically the guardian of secular rule in Turkey. Erdogan alienated the secularists and promoted the religious generals.

This could be a good thing for Turkey. We don't know enough to say yet.

Assuming a coup, is this the first military coup in a NATO country? Has to be. Wow.

Obviously depends on context and how is being booted from power. Erdogan is no prize lol.
