Impossible to predict the actions of irrational people, but IMO the GOP will fight internally for the next little while over their competing bills (both of which will be horrid). Then as midterms approach they'll panic and pass something to say they fulfilled their goal. Said something will mollify the base because it is something, but it will actually be disastrous policy and Americans will hurt as a result. Comeuppance in 2020.

The Dems also got rekt immediately after passage. Hopefully, we don't need to wait for 2020 to see some backlash.

Even many gop constituencies are clearly speaking against this abortion of a bill. Funny how quickly and epically Republicans managed to f**k this up.
But it's only 65 pages so I guess WINNING

Democrats are pretty dumb for not countering this mess by promoting Single Payer as their alternative fix. Yes, stopping this GOP plan should be the main priority, but Dems need to be offering an alternative other than "just keep the ACA". Single Payer is an actual solution and is popular. Of course, it has no chance under this government, but proposing it would be a smart move.
