Another positive aspect of parliamentarianism is that you can form minority governments. I have long been a fan, because it forces the government to work with at least one other party in order to survive. The result is reigning in the extreme aspects of the ruling party. The Harper government was a decent one when they had a minority - it was only when they got majority status that the problems started.

I would be up for a parliamentary system solely for the possibility of Prime Ministers questions. PMQ's is easily the funniest thing on UK television and the thought of Donald having to answer questions every week from other members of parliament is hilarious .

we do need structural changes but i think the french model of presidency is better -- the VP is basically the prime minister and selected from the legislature, and handles internal affairs, while the president, elected by the people, handles international affairs/military. a removal of the electoral system for the president, together with party-ballot voting in the house for the entire state under the webster methodology and a senate that is a mix of direct elected and state-selected members (1 from each) and from which the VP is selected by the house every 4 years, 2 years after the president is elected (every 4 years), i think we would make some serious changes to our government structure that would be a benefit for the entire nation and world while still keeping powers separated
also it's not like the parliamentary system of england is all f**k roses. they are constantly switching and fighting over going hard or going soft on brexit, for example
