Everyone seems to assume that a president will play more to his ideological roots in a second term but that often isn't the case. Clinton certainly moved to the right and even Bush seemed to go a little bit to the center near the end.

Actually that's a good question, for all those Obama voters who just want to beat Romney.

So he wins. Now what?

With a Democratic Senate, he'll definitely be pushing for an expiration of the Bush tax cuts for top income earners. So we'll see a much-needed restoration of the Clintonian tax codes. Whether this will impact the deficit or not remains to be seen as it could be making up for the costs of healthcare reform. It's certainly more responsible than Romney's err plan.

I think he'll probably continue his educational reform program and cap student loan interest rates even lower. He also stated he's going to try to spur STEM education. It's an understated issue, but it's one of the main reasons I picked him over Romney or even third party alternatives.

When the economy picks up next year (~5% unemployment), I imagine he'll propose new initiatives on energy.

Probably the most important thing is he'll pack the Supreme Court with liberal and moderate judges at a time when we could have seen a conservative majority overrule Roe V. Wade, healthcare reform, etc.

Not close Gitmo again.

If we're lucky he'll pass the Buffet Rule, but I don't think the House will agree to it.

Do little to engage with a hostile congress.

But srsly, all the polls are still within the margin of error. Don't count your chickens yet lads.
