Even though I support abortions, I'd be fine if they got rid of public monetary support. After all, everyone has to have insurance, and more than 70% of insurance companies cover them.

Also, Southern - if you hate it when poor people have more babies just so they can get more of you money through welfare and such, wouldn't you want them to have abortions? Much cheaper for Medicaid to pay $1000 for an abortion than the tens of thousands it'll take to raise a child. An added bonus - fewer poors to have to support!

I believe in personal responsibility. If you do the deed then you need to pay the price. Birth control is readily available. Condoms are cheap or even free. I do not want to pay for your bad decisions to have sex without protection. Like I said, I also don't believe in unlimited welfare. I think that those on the dole should be required to work. We've got parks that need cleaned, trash that needs picked up and phones that need answered in government buildings. You want a check, you work for it.

The Netherlands got this one right. If you are on welfare there, you have to put forth some labor.

There isn't really anything respectful left to be said to pro-lifers... they don't have a moral high ground, they don't have a common sense high ground, they don't have a historical high ground, and science has no interest in their opinion.

so, it's best not to say anything at all.
