the one they have is so easily bought, i doubt they want any change at all.
they've already bought what they need. and what they don't need, they kill.

They kind of have a point on legalization generally, but just legalization in Mexico would do literally nothing to slow the cartels. The export would remain illegal and that's where the $ is.
Keep in mind that even small countries like Colombia have at various times dominated the worldwide drug trade. A country like Mexico - large with a porous border next to a major consumer and significant coastland for shipments abroad - is tailor made to be a major player in the drug trade.
Unless drugs are legalized everywhere, the trade can only be stamped out by violence and economic growth.

recreational drugs, however they are distributed, legally or illegally, won't be stamped out in even the most affluent and robust economies. where there is a market, there is an entrepreneur.

you are likely to always have some gang violence, too. America's history of violent gangs is well represented by your signature pic. even in America's best years, gangs have been prevalent and active.
you have to start somewhere, and for them, inside their own country is all they can do. but if you could legalise it, and sell it cheaper than you can get it in the us, you might be able to motivate more states to legalise based on lost revenue.
nothing will solve everything. perfection won't be happening on planet earth. but a revolution in thought is necessary in mexico. no matter which government you elect, they are extremely corrupt. the pri was elected for something like 75 years. and they are just terrible. the people don't trust government and they shouldn't.

i don't follow the part about lost revenue?
Yeah Mexico is a shithole in many ways. But pretty cool in a lot of places and a lot of ways.

right, with the people always caught in between the drug warriors and the cartels or sold out by the government. great life for them, huh?
if they want something better, you can hardly blame them. if it gets rid of government for sale, which is what it is, you can't blame them for that, either. if they want more than lies, you can't blame them for that either. if they want to take control of their lives, economy, and live in peace, you can't blame them for that either. if they are tired of finding out that the cartels with the government behind it, have murdered and buried 43 student teachers, among thousands of others, you can't blame them for that, either.
show me where in the article that it says they want to entirely get rid of the government.
you sound like they deserve the corrupt pos they have. if you don't know what mexico's government is, crawl out from under your rock and find out.
