Piss poor planning. Should have shut down air traffic from affected regions months ago with a 3 week waiting/quarantine period. Early symptoms of Ebola are similar to the flu. Considering we're entering flu season right now, not the best of news. Fortunately, its not easily transmitted but still contagious. Think of those times you've grabbed a doorknob and wondered why the f--k it was wet. I wouldn't say panic but luck favors the prepared, take simple precautions.

The CDC has been travelling the country getting American hospitals ready for months. The only thing missing is perhaps banning flights from the region, but even that isn't necessary with the appropriate screening.

Almost every year they scare us with some Bird Flu, or Swine Flu, or another Flu that will kill 1/2 the population or at least all of the elderly and kids under 1 YO.. Never happens though.

At least time times it's something new. The Flu scares were getting boring.
