this is once again proof of the notion that we have two parties in Congress.
the party in power, and the party of "no"
in this particular case, the minority is holding up business the majority has decided on.
the Democrats are now the obstructionist party.. the party of "no'.
if people were capable of holding each party to identical standards, we would probably get somewhere, but as is perfectly evident, double standards are how we do business.
it's now simply a matter of role reversals.... the same double standards apply, only the parties are in different positions.
Democratic minions will support their party no matter what, Republican minions will support theirs no matter what...and minions are never capable of equal application of standards.
