I'd be very sympathetic if Israel stopped electing nutcases. But they don't. I'm not arguing that Israel should just renounce it's security needs... What they should do is stop creating them. They are responsible for the settlements. They are the ones who have driven a million people from their homes and into Gaza, with hundreds of thousands more within the decade.

I mean how is it even possible to hold refugees as equally culpable as the people who drove them from the land? Especially when their camp is a warzone, and this has been happening for three or four decades? You guys will rail against Hamas, then defend Likud. That makes no sense at all.

You're conflating support of a political party with an expected response from Israel after being attacked. For days. By rockets. I'm the one that's been highlighting the political realities of Israel, but you guys just keep harping on and on about how Israel is at fault. The feedback loop goes both ways. Hamas attacking ensures that the right will be forced to do something or else look weak in the face of military provocation.

Stop acting like the dynamics of the situation are entirely dependent on Israeli policies.
