Reform is necessary for Iraq to stay together, but I fear this may push Iraq closer and closer to Iran. I'm not entirely convinced that this would be the right thing to do... As nice as it would be for Iraq to be an inclusive democracy, I wonder if it is better for them to be a stable autocracy.

Here is the rub.

Ideally you need to separate these idiots. Kurds are cool. Shiites are a lost cause but at least they keep to themselves. Assad is bad but better than war. It is the sunnis who can't be trusted. Give them their own state and all of a sudden it's a terrorist training camp run by ISIS. The solution to this problem lies in Syria.

Eynon I think the crucifixion was actually in Syria. I read articles about it a couple of weeks ago when bodies were on crosses in the middle of the streets for days because nobody would touch them out of fear of being killed.

Even so, its probably happening there too. Good thing were taking our sweet time.
