not sure how you made that leap. burdening an already taxed system will only make it more inefficient. in order to keep a vital service going, sometimes running it at a deficit is necessary.

if they would jump on it they would already be delivering to places that no one but the USPS is willing to go to. they'd also stop dumping packages at the USPS when the route was inconvenient.
unless of course we're all okay with shipping rate hikes and paying 6 dollars to mail a letter.

The USPS going under would hurt me. We use the mail for delivery of our smaller newspapers.
