I saw it and I thought is was a pretty good movie. Was definitely reverential to Chris Kyle and definitely made him look like a hero. As much as it might have tried to glorify war it didn't. Fore every marine yelling get some f**k there was a kid being blown up.
Really makes you realize how pointless the entire Iraq debacle was. Waste of money, waste of lives. I wonder how soldiers with severe mental issues and missing limbs feel about Iraq now.

He came off like a literal retard. No idea how it was reverential. Yes, it didn't highlight some of the more negative points of his bio, but the guy didn't come off as very bright or dedicated to his family. He came off as a guy who drank the cool aid and THEN bit the hook, line and sinker. So many things about the movie had such a negative context there is no way it was coincidental.
