What's been lost in the last 56 pages of exploited and lil bit not being able to understand nuance, calling bullshit on standard floral practices at weddings, and generally making asses of themselves, is that they've been proving the OP right from the very beginning.
For years, religious conservatives got told that gay marriage wouldn't affect them and they were just being hateful bigots. "IF YOU DON'T LIKE GAY MARRIAGE, DON'T GET GAY MARRIED!!!"
Now that they are getting affected by it, they get told to check their religious beliefs at the door.
No. That's not how it works in America. You don't have to check your religious beliefs at any door because the Constitution guarantees you the right to freely practice. You cannot be forced to do something that violates your religious morality. The "right" of someone to purchase a private service doesn't outweigh your right to adhere to your faith.
It's not stupid. It's our Constitution. Sorry if you don't like it.
