If you verbally confront someone and they physically attack you, why shouldn't you be able to defend yourself?
There is no law against finding out what someone, even a black guy, is doing. There is a law about attacking someone with deadly force, which is precisely what pinning someone down and beating them is doing.
If that is happening to you, then you have a right to defend your bodily integrity with force.
