Israel knows they have a legit chance to crush Hamas, and I think they'll go as far as they can to make that happen.

IMO Israel is all in on destroying Hamas or at a minimum breaking them to the point of giving up. Why else start a campaign that's reaching 2nd intifada levels of violence for anything else?
