I was kind of shocked at how poor security was. I mean, nobody expected this clearly, but still... you'd think it wouldn't have taken a bunch of enraged politicians to put this guy down.

You sure it was a misfire? Looked to me like he just lost his nerve at the last second.

Also, it was a gas pistol which is apparently a non lethal weapon so shitty assassination attempt all around.

I liked the guy with the notebook case swinging it on him like Auntie Pearl going after the neighborhood ruffians with her purse. Looks like the guy got off pretty easy. That many dudes free kicking on him and he's still able to walk away? f**k, I've seen more damage inflicted in less time, with fewer people and defenders in a bar fight than was done on that dude. Seriously. Two Wyoming Chicks would have f**k him up worse than that even if I was one of them...and I'm old.
