This really was one that I didn't see coming. At least, not 10 years ago. I mean, he was a very successful businessman, who campaigned to clean up Canal St., get rid of the Iberville Housing Project, and other things. It all sounded great. And, he wasn't a career politician or from a family of them like Morial, Landrieu, etc.

We knew it was getting bad before Katrina. But, that was the icing on the cake. And, then he got re-elected. It simply reaffirmed my belief that the vast majority of humanity are morons.

BTW, here is the Iberville Housing Project. Just took this pic out my office window a minute ago. Still going strong!
