In reality, these idiots in Egypt need to chill and realize that if someone insults their religion, its not the end of the world. But if the US were to say that, then more people would get pissed off.

Arabs and muslims are laughably insecure about their god and his prophet if they think that they need to have their honour protected from mere mortals... Pathetic, and worthy of nothing more than a moment of sneering contempt if not for the fact that these degenerates are making the world a much more dangerous place than it should be.

I think the obvious explanation here is the salafists are trying to build more popular support, what better way than to engineer a protest against the great satan?
