Ya, Nintendo has fantastic IP. Iconic, really. I've got basically zero experience with anything Nintendo since the SNES. Don't really know why.

You definitely missed out then. Super Mario Galaxy 2 for instance is the best platformer ever created, if you enjoy platformers. The Gamecube era was great as well: Metroid Prime (favorite), Wind Waker, F-Zero GX (best arcade racing game ever), Paper Mario, etc.

Nintendo also always delivers on their party games. Inviting friends over to play the newest Mario Party never gets old.

Nintendo's games are by no means the most visually stunning or in depth games out on the market. They're just f**k fun; simple as that.

I'm calling it here: Microsoft's launch lineup will pale in comparison to the PS4. They know it. Again, that's why they trumpeted the 15 exclusives at their botched unveiling. They went out and spent a shit ton of money after they realized that their initial buyers probably won't buy the system in droves without some reason to do it....but I don't think Microsoft has much to worry about since Sony hasn't been too forthcoming on any other kind of functionality within the PS4 (And that they potentially changed the ram used in the system on a whim).

E3 will tell all.

Calling it here. This will be Sony's last console. Also, exclusives are pretty much done for between Sony and Microsoft. Maybe a few every once in awhile, but the bottom line is that developers want to make money, and they make the most money by selling their product to as many users as possible.

Its Sony's last console...why? They've been the top seller for the last 3 generations in a row (well, ya, except for the Wii...but those are like kitchen gadgets...collect a lot of dust), and MS so far with the Xbone has been:


Unless of course the traditional console business is just done after this generation...which is entirely possible I suppose, considering that they try to stretch these things out for a decade now.

The one I actually worry about is Nintendo. It would be too bad if they wound up like Sega.

One thing microsoft does have right is that there will be a multifunction home electronic center soon. It's a natural evolution, I think. They just haven't figured out how to make it rock yet.
