A seriously fun little scifi show. Solid writing, a fantastic premise, but really, the entire show is held up on the lovely shoulders of the lead actor, Tatiana Maslanay...who is just flat out extremely....talented. And hot. But that's secondary. Mostly.
She plays half a dozen leading roles on the show, flawlessly portraying entirely different people with totally different personalities, nationalities, mannerisms...and not only that but successfully plays them off each other, when they aren't even in the scene with her. At least not really. We've all seen actors "cloned" on TV, where they interact with themselves using layered takes. But I've never seen it done so flawlessly. So flawlessly that a while back I found myself rewinding so I could go back and watch this person literally hug "herself" frame by frame. Uncanny how 2 or 3 completely different characters who aren't even there can be made to interact so well. Spot on. Very impressive. And its not like they have million dollar budgets to work with.
You get into some kinda cool ethical stuff, about identity, patenting DNA, cloning, personhood, identity, etc etc...but I kept watching because of that amazing performance.
