Tywin is def not a Westboro member. He is probably the most politically competent person in the series. Tywin respects shrewdness and competency, save for Tyrion, and that is why he looks down on Cersie and respects Lady Tyrell. He wants nothing more than any other Noble man in medieval days than to leave behind children and a legacy to be proud of and it has been taken away from him by circumstances he cannot control by people more powerful than him. You can see the frustration on his face and hear it in his comments. He def has conservative views, but I can feel for him quite a bit.
