I recall watching interviews with parents of the Newtown children, but I can't remember any of their responses consisting in pathological violence.

Here's an exercise for everyone rationalizing this woman's psychotic behavior: go to youtube, search "interview boston bombing victims," or any other tragedy and see how many of the interviewees become pathologically violent. If you manage to find more than zero, you win the internets.

Her behavior was not a normal expression of stressed grieving. Her behavior can in no way be so rationalized. Normal human beings when stressed and grieving do not throw rocks at and sick pittbulls on harmless reporters asking legitimate, newsworthy questions in good faith. Her behavior was the pathological response of a mentally disturbed lunatic and no reporter should be demanded to expect that the person they are trying to interview is deranged.

His son was being investigated. Her daughter got shot. Neither was a victim.

Besides I said stress makes people do weird shit. It's why when I see somebody clearly pissed off, I don't badger them with more dumbass questions.

Also how is asking someone how they feel about their relative getting shot in any way news worthy?

I just can't believe anyone would ask that. Why didn't they send and intern over there to see if she would be willing to answer some questions. They ambushed her and put her on live TV when she was out in her yard looking like she just got up or something.

Why is it ok to intrude in someone's life in this manner? It's not like a neighbor asked her a question or something, they tried to make a spectacle out of her misery, and well they got more spectacle than they bargained for.

In one case there is the interviewing of the mother of a victim and in the other there is the interviewing of the father of a criminal. Clearly not comparable which is why you are now blowing rhetorical smoke.

How in the world is putting legitimate, news worthy questions to the mother "insensitive, rude and sloppy"? Just wtf are you talking about? Was the interviewing of the Newtown children's parents "insensitive, rude and sloppy"? Was the interviewing of the Boston bombing victims and their families "insensitive, rude and sloppy"?

The reporter observed to the woman that a suspect had turned himself in giving the woman the opportunity to express her relief that the suspect had done so which is what normal people do. They say something like "I'm glad the person is off of the streets and can't harm anyone else now. He/she caused our family a great deal of suffering and his/her turning his/herself in helps in our processing the suffering and begin to heal. That's a normal reaction. Another normal reaction would be to not want to be interviewed at all and to therefore go inside one's home. Obviously this woman is not an intelligent, thoughtful person and therefore instead threw rocks at the reporting crew and sicked her pittbulls on them. She wore a shirt that said "my attitude is your problem" when she was arrested. She is not a normal person and her reaction was not normal or predictable. She is deranged and her reaction was pathological. There is no rationalizing it. People going through stressed grieving do not turn into violent maniacs.

I didn't make a point about victim-blaming, although your vulgar rationalizations offered for the deranged woman could be seen as such.
