I recall watching interviews with parents of the Newtown children, but I can't remember any of their responses consisting in pathological violence.
Here's an exercise for everyone rationalizing this woman's psychotic behavior: go to youtube, search "interview boston bombing victims," or any other tragedy and see how many of the interviewees become pathologically violent. If you manage to find more than zero, you win the internets.
Her behavior was not a normal expression of stressed grieving. Her behavior can in no way be so rationalized. Normal human beings when stressed and grieving do not throw rocks at and sick pittbulls on harmless reporters asking legitimate, newsworthy questions in good faith. Her behavior was the pathological response of a mentally disturbed lunatic and no reporter should be demanded to expect that the person they are trying to interview is deranged.
