Note to JJ Abrams on new SW movies: No characters who exist for comic relief. Nothing that in your mind is there to make 7 years olds laugh. No jar jars, no ewoks, no CG furry cute alien things of any sort. Don't make this into a cartoon. Please keep the teenaged angst to a minimum, and for the love of god,
no little kids. The humor you had going in the Trek reboot was good. You even handled the teenagers well in Super 8. Do more of that. Listen to what George Lucas tells you about lore...but as to actual film making keep note of his comments so you know what to do the
opposite of. It can be PG-13, we don't need arterial blood spraying all over the wall when someone loses a lightsaber fight. But don't shy away from a little violence to keep the thing believable. Your audience isn't just kids. Pretty much anyone who can remember the 70's or 80's is a probably a fan, and they aren't spring chickens anymore. Keep it in mind.
<----< Pay those guys some respect or they'll turn on you in a second just a surely as they did with Lucas.
